ROACH
IMAGE OF CHARACTER HERE (optional) do NOT stretch the page.
name&pronunciation roach roe-ch
age two years
species&breed gray wolf
personality What's that Tone? This male, as odd as it may seem, has an odd, slightly drawling accent. A heavy one, sometimes making him hard to understand and an easy target for jokes; sometimes he uses 'odd' words. Most of the time he just keeps his mouth shut and lets the others do the talking.
Permanently Ruffled Feathers; Well, maybe not all the time, but Roach is usually in a less than good mood, and is quick to snap at others. A low tolerance for stupidity, and foolishness can make him a prickly character to get along with, but once you get past his impatience, dominance and anger issues, and temper, Roach can really be very cuddly. I guess. Oh, and a reminder, he doesn't like his personal area invaded, and that area is rather large. Well, I guess I should tell you what happens when you are foolish enough to get in his area, shouldn't I? Well, it happens in a few stages. Stage One: He growls at you, acts tough, and tells you to get. Stage Two: If by then you haven't gotten the message, you might receive a sharp nip, and if you're male, that nip may be on an area you don't want nipped. Stage Three: If you're really bull-headed enough to have not backed off by now, it's on. He'll be growling, hackles raised, braced for impact, the whole shebang. Hopefully, though, you'll have taken the hint by then.
Me? Sarcastic?; One of Roach's favorite pastimes is annoying and confusing his company with his endless sarcastic remarks. It can be hard for him to take things seriously, since he likes to joke and have fun. Not that his idea of fun includes others of his kind, he's more the hunting, fishing, swimming type.
Toyin' with Minds; The ladies (and gents) sometimes take a liking to him, and when they do, Roach likes to lead them on even farther, then break their hearts like he breaks a bone to get at the marrow. Then, he wallows in the joy of the sorrow and unhappiness that it brings the female (or male). He is known for disappearing almost immediately after his fun is over.
appearance Quite odd, this one; Roach stands rather tall, the exact measurement unknown, but he usually stands a few inches taller than most other wolves he's met. He has a delicate muzzle, lined with slightly yellowed teeth that close together in a scissor bite. Large, flicking radar-like ears quickly dart in all directions, taking in every sound that comes their way.
I'll Have Pepper; Roach's coat is pitch black, with no variation of color anywhere to be found. Every bit of him, from his head to his paws is black as night, except for his eyes. His visionaries are a deep, glistening amber color.
history Puppyhood, eh? Since Roach is a rather outspoken fellow, I'll let him tell his life story... Kay, so I was born in this den with my ma and kin, aight? Well, I guess I was raised like most other wolves, suckin' milk from the mother, play fighting with the siblings, all that. Well, since the daddy wasn't quite in the picture, and seein' as all my littermates were girlies, I grew up kinda sissy-like, ya know? Didn't like mud, hunting, all that. Well, I changed since then, lemme tell ya.
Gangly Days; Once I hit my teenage years, a huge growth spurt hit me. I was all patchy-haired and long-legged and the like. I wasn't much a looker, ya see? Trippin' over my paws every few steps and weird mood swings weren't even the half of it. Ah, adolescent-ness, hormones raging and lookin' funny. What a blast! Back then, I went through a couple mates, and lemme tell you, it wasn't easy getting them. As I've already said, I wasn't much for looking good back then, so the one or two "mates" I had, I got on pure personality. And maybe a few small threats...-cough-
